Use your pet's age in the left column and read across to your pet size category to find it's equivalent human age. Cats in the first year experience the same changes in body function that would take 24 years in a person. Dogs reach puberty and beyond in just one year.
Pets age as much as seven times faster than people and need to be checked for organ function problems much more often than is commonly thought. A check up every six months if often life saving in cats and dogs less than three years old and more than seven years old. Organ deterioration is common and often preventable when caught in early stages.
